Alright, let's get ahead to this point: There's not much of a game here. The original intent was that once you got into the car, you'd have to accelerate (hold space) or brake (release space) quick to avoid crashing into pedestrians, red-light-runners, and cars leaving blind driveways. I did not get time for any of that! Let's just pretend your car broke down or you were out of gas (and your panic attack is eventually triggered by honking cars behind your non-moving vehicle).

The on-the-nose theme was around (gasp, spoiler) panics attacks in pressured situations - but the primary reason I went with this "story" was to help illustrate the dangerous conditions of "Stroads". If you're not familiar, then let this be your PSA about why these ugly roads cause numerous deaths, and what makes them such unenjoyable anti-places. They cause anxiety to drive on, and with their design, they accentuate the unavoidable human error with disastrous outcomes.
